Abstract

Background: Transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP) remains the gold standard surgical treatment for BPH. However, the impact of amount of resected tissue on the improvement of IPPS is controversial. Aim: To evaluate the relationship between weight and volume of resected prostate tissue and improvement of IPSS for patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia.
