Studies on the effect of plant geometry on vegetative attributes, flowering and corm production in Gladiolus (Gladiolus grandiflorus L.)
Abstract
The present study,\r\n“Studies on the Effect of Plant Geometry on Vegetative Attributes, Flowering,\r\nand Corm Production in Gladiolus (Gladiolus grandiflorus L.)”, was\r\nconducted at the Horticulture Research cum Instructional Farm, College of\r\nAgriculture, Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Raipur (C.G.), during the\r\nyear 2023-24. The experiment was laid out in a Randomized Block Design with\r\nthree replications, comprising seven treatments, viz.: T1 (30\r\nx 20 cm), T2 (30 x 15 cm), T3 (30 x 10 cm), T4\r\n(45 x 25 cm), T5 (45 x 20 cm), T6 (45 x 15 cm), T7\r\n(45 x 10 cm). The results showed that Number of corms/Plot (72.93), Number of\r\ncorms/Plot (667750), Weight of corms/plot (3168.95 gm), corm weight (26408) kg,\r\nweight of cormels/Plot (173.33 gm), weight of cormels per plot (1444.4 kg) was\r\nobserved under T3 (30 x 10 cm).
