The impact of homeopathic interventions in treatment of Henoch-Schönlein purpura

International Journal of Homoeopathic Sciences · 2025 · Vol. 9(1) · pp. 306–309

Abstract

Henoch-Schönlein purpura currently also referred to IgA Vasculitis, is a systemic inflammation of small vessels caused by deposition of immunoglobulin A, in the perivascular areas. This could affect large, medium or small sized arteries, arterioles, venules or veins. Henoch-Schönlein is a type of small vessel vasculitis .Sudden purpura surfacing on the body can create a lot of anxiety in regards to one’s internal health. The rapidity of spread and coalescing of purpura adds to the intensity of the situation. Conventional treatment is known to be symptomatic based which may include glucocorticoids and immunosuppressive therapy. Though these could be effective in controlling inflammation, they risk association with immune disturbances and significant toxicities. The balance between controlling disease activity and managing drug-induced toxicities remains a critical concern. Secondly poorly managed cases could lead to chronic renal failure. Despite advancement in treatment in today’s day and time, limitations in treatment of such cases, leaves one hopeless to his fate and this calls for a study of alternate safe and effective therapies to address the same. Thus unleashing the safe and effective use of homoeopathic treatment in such cases, is a need. The effectiveness of homoeopathy, culminating in complete recovery in short span of time, is witnessed in the evidence based case study shared below.
