Abstract
The study aimed to assess the socio-economic effects of pastoral half-moon techniques and dune stabilization on the living conditions of populations in the villages of Dara Amadou, Kouroungoussaou, and Angué in the Maradi region of Niger. The methodology was based on individual and group interviews, with a sample representing 30% of the population. Collected data were analyzed using SPSS, R, and Excel; chi-square tests were used to examine relationships between categorical variables, and a probit model was applied to evaluate impacts. The results demonstrated a reduction in vulnerability among beneficiary populations, with improvements in food security observed among 19.80% of respondents in Angué, 53.54% in Dara Amadou, and 13.75% in Kouroungoussaou.
