Studies on location specific seasonal survey for digital mapping of important cashew diseases

Abstract

The field experiment has been conducted in 2021-22 & 2022-23 to study the location specific survey for digital mapping of important disease of cashew in Sindhudurg district. The data of disease index of different cashew disease has been collected at two different locations from each tehsil of Sindhudurg district. The collected information was compiled and formatted in to virtual image on computer by producing map that gives accurate information of disease status of cashew in the Sindhudurg district. There were only four diseases were recorded in cashew, viz red rust, branch dying, yellow leaf spot and apple rot during both year, the Kudal and Kankavli Tehsil recorded, high percent disease index of cashew disease such as red rust and branch dying respectively during all recorded seasons. The intensity of all disease get decreases in 2022-23 comparative 2021-22 which shows decreasing trend of disease.
