Synergistic use of soil and foliar applied phosphorus and potash based fertilizer for yield improvement in soybean (Glycine max L.)
Abstract
An experiment on soybean response to foliar applied nutrients was determined by conducting an experiment at Department of Agronomy, Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Krishi Vidyapeeth, Parbhani, during Kharif 2023 season. The design of experiment was Randomized Block Design with four treatments and four replications, plot size was 5.4 m X 4.5 m. Soybean variety sown was MAUS-158. Treatments administered were S1- RDF (30: 60: 30 kg/ha NPK at the time of Sowing), S2- RDF (30: 60: 30 kg/ha) + Foliar spray of 5% P& 20% K at flowering and pod setting, S3 - RDF (30: 60: 30 kg/ha) + Foliar spray of P&K at flowering, and S4 -RDNP (30: 60: 00 kg/ha N and P at the time Sowing). The data was analyzed statistically and results of the experiment revealed that the treatment of S2- RDF (30: 60: 30 kg/ha) + Foliar spray of 5% P& 20% K at flowering and pod setting recorded higher per plant average number of pods, weight of grains, size of grain (mm), per plant and per hectare yield soybean crop.
