International Journal of Pharmacognosy and Life Science · 2024 · Vol. 5(2) · pp. 113–117

Abstract

The hair follicle is the most important organ in the mammalian system that determines appearance, and gender differentiation and offers extreme temperature protection and self-defence. For various causes, the younger generations have started to experience severe hair loss. Alopecia is the outcome of hair loss that is typically not transitory. Because of their high stress levels and worry, many people experiencing hair loss are looking for several solutions. Hair root activation is necessary to promote hair growth and stop hair loss. Citrus Sinensis is used to protect hair and prevent dandruff. It possessed anti-inflammatory and antibacterial qualities. Nigella sativa enhances hair's texture, strength, volume, and sheen. Rich in fatty acids and antioxidants, flax seed helps cleanse the scalp of impurities and dead cells. Hair may benefit from coconut oil's ability to seal and moisturise. They can aid in avoiding dandruff and a dry, flaky scalp. The components needed to formulate hair serum and the several tests used to assess it are the main topics of this review essay.
