Abstract

Sericulture is an age-old practice that has contributed significantly to the textile industry. However, traditional methods face challenges such as disease management, pest control, and environmental impacts. Nanotechnology, the manipulation of matter at the nanoscale, offers innovative solutions to these challenges. With the advent of Nanotechnology, there is a growing interest in its applications within this field. This article explores the various roles that Nanotechnology plays in enhancing sericulture, including its impact on silkworm health, silk quality, pest management, and environmental sustainability. By integrating Nanotechnology into sericulture practices, we can potentially revolutionize silk production, making it more efficient and sustainable.
