Users perception towards the effectiveness of logistics efficiency reference with public service vs private postal service
Abstract
This study examines users perception towards the effectiveness of logistics efficiency of public postal and private postal. A questionnaire-based survey was conducted among 100 users to assess their experiences with delivery speed, reliability, tracking, customer service, and overall satisfaction. The results show that private postal service outperforms public Postal Service in all aspects, with significant differences in delivery speed and reliability. However, Indian Postal Service scores better in terms of affordability and accessibility. The study highlights the need for public postal Service to improve its logistics efficiency to compete with private players like FedEx Express, DHL Express, TNT Express, UPS (United parcel service), Blue dart Express Ltd, DTDC Courier and Cargo Ltd. The findings have implications for logistics service providers, policymakers, and customers.
