A comparison of the two shape parameters estimation methods for exponentiated inverted Weibull distribution

Abstract

In this study, a comparison of performance among four different methods Method of Moments (MOM), Maximum Likelihood Estimation (MLE), the Least-squares method (LSM) and Percentile Methods (Dubey (1967)) of estimating the parameters of the Exponentiated Inverted Weibull (EIW) distribution was done using Two shape parameters. These values were generated by simulation and methods were compared interms of the MSE. Based on the sample sizes and parameters considered for Two parameters Exponentiated Inverted Weibull (EIW) distribution taking into consideration. The aim to find the best methods to the Two parameters Exponentiated Inverted Weibull (EIW) distribution.
