Effect of functional training on selected performances related variables among men football players
Abstract
The purpose of the study is effect of functional training improvement in selected performances related variables among men football players. Such as Passing, Dribbling, Kicking. The study was conducted on 40 men football players from different schools in Chennai district Tamil Nadu were selected as subjects. They divided into two equal groups namely, experimental group 20 and control group 20.The experimental group were underwent skill based exercises with functional training for six weeks and control group acted as a control. The age limit of the subjects was delimited to 9-15 years only. The experimental group had significantly higher than the control group in performance in football skills. In addition, significant difference was found between the experimental group and the control group in Passing, Dribbling, and Kicking.
