Microbiological study of fungal infection of primary school student's hair scalp

Abstract

This study was carried out in several primary schools for boys and girls from 1 January 2023 1 May 2023 where '60' hair samples of (scalps) of different ages ranging from (8-11) years were collected in Al-Rifaay district and transferred to the Faculty of Science's Microbiology Laboratory utilizing specialized sample collecting bags. According to the data, there were 25 different types of fungi from 24 different species. The most prevalent of these species is Aspergillus, which is followed by Penicillium and the remaining races as follows: Saccharomyces Sepedonium Rhizopus Gliocladium Microsporm Alternaria. Hormodanarum Rhodotorula Blastomyces Epidermophyton Sporothrix Sporangiophore Pularia (Aureobasidium) Coccidioides Biolaris Verticillum Sporobolomyces Geotrichum Candida Zygomyces Hortaea Scopulariopsis
