Abstract
This research paper examined the enduring significance of Sanskrit in contemporary Vedic astrology, focusing on how practicing astrologers utilize and value the language in their professional activities. A survey was distributed to a diverse group of 5,000 practicing Vedic astrologers across India and global communities, aiming to capture detailed data on their use of Sanskrit, the importance they attributed to the language, their reliance on translations, and their perceptions of how Sanskrit influences the integrity of their practices. The survey, administered over three months, included questions on the frequency of Sanskrit text usage, the perceived value of Sanskrit, and the accuracy of translations compared to original texts.
