Effect of organic manures on soil biological properties and productivity of chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) under vertisol

International Journal of Research in Agronomy · 2024 · Vol. 7(12S) · pp. 376–379

Abstract

A field experimentwasconducted during Rabiseason of2023-24 to find out effectoforganicmanures on soilbiologicalproperties and productivity of Chickpeacrop (Cicer arietinumL.)atAICRPon Integrated farming system, DepartmentofSoilScience andAgricultural Chemistry, VNMKV, Parbhani. Results wereindicated thataddition oforganicmanures increasethemicrobial population in soilafterharvesting ofchickpeacrop. TreatmentT8RDN through (1/3FYM + 1/3Vermicompost + 1/3 Neemcake) + Biofertilizers (Rhizobium+ PSB)was recorded significantly increasebacterial, fungiand actinomycetes population which is atparwith treatmentT6(1/3FYM + 1/3 Vermicompost+ 1/3 Neemcake)whilelowest microbialpopulation was recorded in T1control treatmentand treatmentT9RDF + Biofertilizers (Rhizobium + PSB)was recorded significantly highestproductivity of chickpeawhich was atparwith treatmentT2, T8whilethelowestproductivity was found in T1.
