Screening of rice genotypes against sheath rot of rice caused by Sarocladium oryzae

Abstract

Shetah rot of rice (Sarocladium oryzae) has emerged as a serious disease that causes qualitative and quantitative yield losses ranging from 3-85%.To manage the disease, use of resistant sources is essential, to identify the source of resistant genotypes screening of genotypes is done.In the current assessment 111 genotypes screened against sheath rot disease of rice, among them one genotype was found to be highly resistant and thirty-three genotypes were found to be resistant to sheath rot disease.
