Abstract

Background: Insomnia is a common sleep disorder that impacts overall health, leading to decreased quality of life and increased risk of chronic diseases. Conventional therapies, though effective in the short term, may result in dependency and adverse effects. Homeopathy, a holistic and individualised approach, has gained attention for its potential to address insomnia without harmful side effects. This review examines Homoeopathic remedies and their therapeutic value in managing insomnia. Methods and Methodology: A comprehensive review of peer-reviewed articles, case studies, and clinical trials was conducted to evaluate the efficacy of Homoeopathic remedies for treating insomnia. The mechanisms of action, including effects on neurotransmitter regulation and nervous system balance, were analyzed. Comparative studies between homoeopathy and conventional therapies were also reviewed to assess their respective outcomes. Conclusion: Homeopathy offers a promising alternative for insomnia management, addressing underlying causes like anxiety, stress, and hormonal imbalances with minimal side effects. Despite encouraging anecdotal evidence and small-scale trials, there is a need for larger, methodologically robust studies to establish its efficacy conclusively. Integrating homoeopathy with conventional approaches could provide a comprehensive, patient-centred solution to managing insomnia sustainably.
