Management of wilt disease of coriander through organic amendments and different date of sowing

Abstract

The experiments were carried out at two locations for, field work at Vegetable Research Centre, Department of Horticulture, College of Agriculture, JNKVV, Jabalpur and to study management it was carried out in pot condition at Biotechnology Center, JNKVV, Jabalpur using various organic amendments viz., Neem cake, Cotton cake, Mahua cake, Karanj cake, Groundnut cake & Mustard cake and seven date of sowings i.e.13thOctober, 20th October, 27th October, 3rd November, 10th November, 17th November and 24th November. Data analysis revealed that the crop sown on 24th November had the minimum disease incidence and crop sown on 13th October showed maximum disease incidence whereas seed yield was lowest (3.156 q/ha) in the 13 October sown crop and 24th November sown crop recorded maximum seed yield (6.811 q/ha). Studies on the relative efficacy of organic amendments under pot conditions showed neem oil cake was significantly better than all other treatments resulting in minimum disease incidence (22.16%) and the highest vigour index (1985.34), followed by cotton cake with 27.76% disease incidence and 1007.82 vigour index.
