International Journal of Advanced Biochemistry Research · 2024 · Vol. 8(11) · pp. 1122–1125

Abstract

Natural enemies of Mexican beetle Zygogramma bicolorata Pallister were recorded during the year 2023-24 at different locations of BTC CARS Bilaspur campus. During the study, three predators viz. Two spotted bug, Perillus bioculatus, Yellow paper wasp, Polistes wattii, and Predatory bug, Eocanthecona furcellata were found predatory on Mexican beetle and recorded in mid-September. The highest population 1.5 and 0.9 bug/plant of Two spotted bug and Predatory bug, respectively were recorded during the 28th September - 4th October, while Yellow paper wasp was recorded with 0.8 wasp/plant during the 21st September - 27th September. Significant positive correlation was observed with the Mexican beetle population with Perillus bioculatus, Eocanthecona furcellata and Polistes wattii.
