Journal of Ayurvedic Maulik Siddhant · 2024 · Vol. 1(1) · pp. 09–13
Abstract
This review explores the Ayurvedic concepts of Vata, Pitta, and Kapha and their intricate relationship with mental health disorders. In Ayurveda, the balance of these three doshas is considered fundamental for physical and mental well-being. This paper delves into how imbalances in Vata, Pitta, and Kapha affect psychological states, contributing to various mental health conditions. By analyzing classical Ayurvedic texts and integrating modern scientific perspectives, the review aims to provide insights into the doshic basis of mental health disorders and offers Ayurvedic therapeutic approaches for restoring balance.
