Evaluation of the level of information awareness of first-class basketball referees in Iraq

Abstract

This paper's objective is to build a scale of information awareness on the information awareness of first-class basketball referees in Iraq, set levels for the scale of information awareness of first-class basketball referees in Iraq, and know the level of information awareness of first-class Iraqi basketball referees. The researchers employed the survey technique and descriptive methodology to determine the level of information awareness of first-class basketball referees in Iraq. First-class research was used to determine the research community. basketball referees for the sports season (2023-2024), numbering (63) referees. They were all selected at the scientific community's rate of 100% to build the information awareness scale. After completing the construction of the scale, (5) levels were set for the information awareness scale. After that, it was applied to a sample of (30) referees representing (47.61%) of the scientific community during the purpose of conducting suitable statistical evaluations. The data was processed using the statistical software (SPSS) twenty-fifth edition and appropriate statistical techniques. Considering the findings of the present study and the ensuing interpretations, the following conclusions were reached (Basketball referees have good information awareness. In light of the research In their findings, the researchers provide the following key suggestions (using the information awareness scale and its levels, which were developed and used to reveal this information awareness of first-class basketball referees in Iraq.
