Abstract

The present study was carried out to evaluation of oilcakes and phytoextracts for the management of alternaria leaf spot on bok choy (Brassica chinensis L.) caused by Alternaria brassicae (Berk.) Sacc under field conditions. Three replications of bok choy were planted in a Randomized Block Design. At the research plot of the Central Research Field, Department of Plant Pathology, Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences, Prayagraj during Rabi season of 2023. Neem cake, mustard cake, linseed cake are applied as soil treatment. Phyto extracts of Eucalyptus leaf extract, Neem leaf extract, Lantana Camara leaf extract, Calotropis leaf extract and Moringa leaf extract and mancozeb were applied as foliar spray. All the treatments were found significantly reduced the disease severity and increased the yield. Among all the treatments Neem Cake + Eucalyptus Leaf Extract @ 10% was recorded minimum disease intensity (35.01%) and maximum yield (2.86 t/ha) recorded maximum cost benefit ratio (1: 2.22), as compared to treated check Mancozeb @ 0.2% and untreated check control.
