Effect of nutrients level on quality parameters of sweet orange under western Maharashtra conditions

Abstract

An investigation was carried out to study the effect of nutrients level on quality of sweet orange under Western Maharashtra conditions. Experimental plants were supplied with different levels of N (600, 800 and 1000 g N/plant), P (200, 300 and 400 g P2O5/plant) and K (400, 600 and 800 g K2O/plant) in the form of Urea, SSP and MOP fertilizers. From the results, it was found that nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium application improve quality parameters like TSS, titratable acidity, TSS: Acidity ratio and total sugars percent. N2P2K3 i.e. N2-800 g N/plant P2-300 g P2O5/plant and K3-800 g K2O/plant recorded maximum TSS, TSS: Acidity, total sugars and minimum titratable acidity.
