Abstract

Integrated Pest Management (IPM) in floriculture is a sustainable approach that combines various methods to control pests, reduce chemical use, and protect the environment. This article explores IPM strategies in floriculture, including biological, cultural, mechanical, and chemical controls, alongside the emerging role of technological innovations. By examining pest-resistant varieties, beneficial insects, organic pesticides, and monitoring systems, we outline methods that improve plant health while minimizing ecological impacts. Practical case studies illustrate successful IPM applications in different floral crops, showcasing the effectiveness of eco-friendly practices. IPM in floriculture not only reduces pest populations but also enhances biodiversity and soil quality, essential for sustainable horticultural practices. This article concludes with insights into future IPM advancements, including precision agriculture and AI-driven pest monitoring, as promising avenues for sustainable pest management in floriculture.
