BIS AZO disperse dyes derived from 2-amino 5(4’-nitro phenyl) 1, 3, 4-thiadiazole: Synthesis and their multi- functional properties

International Journal of Chemical Studies · 2024 · Vol. 12(6) · pp. 01–08

Abstract

2-Amino 4(4’-nitro phenyl) 1,3-thiazole was used to couple with diazotized 2-amino 5(4’-nitro phenyl) 1,3,4-thiadiazole to give mono azo disperse dye with good yield. This mono azo disperse dye was further diazotized and coupled with different tertiary amines which were couplers that yielded bis azo disperse dyes (NK1-NK15). The produced dyes were examined by 1H NMR spectral analysis, elemental analysis, and infrared analysis. Using the HTHP method, all synthetic dyes were applied to polyester fabric, and the dyeing performance and fastness properties were examined.
