Effect of fertilizer, bio-inoculant and liquid micronutrient on growth and yield of soybean (Glycine max L.)
Abstract
The field investigation entitled “Effect of fertilizer, bio-inoculant and liquid micronutrient on growth and yield of soybean (Glycine max L.)” was conducted at Agronomy Farm, College of Agriculture, Nagpur during kharif season of 2023-24. The experiment was laid out in randomized block design with three replications and 8 treatments. The treatments comprised following levels of chemical fertilizer and bio-fertilizer viz., T1 - 100% RDF, T2 - 75% RDF + Rhizobium, T3 - 75% RDF + PSB, T4 - 75% RDF + Consortia, T5 - 75% RDF + Rhizobium + PDKV Liquid Micrograde II, T6 - 75% RDF + Rhizobium + Consortia, T7 - 75% RDF + PSB + PDKV Liquid Micrograde II and T8 - 75% RDF + Consortia + PDKV Liquid Micrograde II. Results revealed that, use of 75% RDF + Consortia + PDKV Liquid Micrograde II (T8) recorded significantly higher growth attributing characters viz., plant height (cm), number of branches plant-1 and dry matter production plant-1 (g). Similarly, yield contributing characters viz., number of pods plant-1, weight of grains plant-1 (g), straw yield plant-1 (g), seed yield (q ha-1) and straw yield (q ha-1) over rest of the treatments and was at par with 100% RDF (T1), 75% RDF + Rhizobium + PDKV Liquid Micrograde II (T5) and 75% RDF + PSB + PDKV Liquid Micrograde II (T7). Whereas the lowest values of growth and yield attributes were recorded in 75% RDF + PSB (T3).
