Review and pharmacology of: Artocarpus sericicarpus
Journal of Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry · 2024 · Vol. 13(5) · pp. 658–659
Abstract
Artocarpus sericicarpus is endemic in several Indonesian locations and is also known locally as peluntan or pedalai. The nutrient contents of the fruit and seed are repoted. Ethanolic extracts of the leaves and stems exhibited a higher antioxidant capacity than the water-based extracts. Cholinesterase inhibitory activity against AChE and BChE is demonstrated by an extract from Artocarpus sericicarpus leaves and stems. Dichloromethane leaf extract had the strongest antimalarial activity.
