Abstract

The art of the DHOKRA tribe has begun its ways into establishing itself in contemporary designs because of its uniqueness and creativity.The main motive of this research is to explore how DHOKRA art can be used in more creative and contemporary designs in order to promote them and inspire others into using this art into their designs and merge the distance between the traditional techniques and contemporary designs.The study includes a detailed analysis of the different and new techniques that are being applied in creating products that appreciate these artisans.These findings conclude that through these methods the traditional art form is preserved along with new innovative designs to make these products popular to a broader range of consumers.
