SWOT analysis of dairy enterprises

Abstract

The evolution of the dairy sector in India and the stellar role played by dairy cooperatives since the launch of Operation Flood. The dairy sector in Bhandara district has declining substantially over the years. The present study was carried out in Bhandara district of Vidarbha region in Maharashtra State and exploratory research design used for the study. The total sample consist of 120 dairy farmer practicing dairy farming. It can be found that majority dairy farmer having a strength of dairy farming is livelihood occupation for majority of rural population, Weaknesses is frequent outbreak of disease in an area, Opportunities is increasing in demand in milk lead to growth in family income and threats is low milk price.
