Profile characteristics of undergraduate girl students of Professor Jayashankar Telangana agricultural university
Abstract
The present study was conducted to study the profile characteristics of undergraduate girl students of Professor Jayashankar Telangana Agricultural University. Ex-post-facto research design was used for the study. A total of one-twenty respondents were selected from college of Agriculture, Rajendranagar. College of community science, Saifabad and college of Agricultural Engineering, SangaReddy for the study. Majority of the respondents were in the first division (50.84%) academically, from rural background (55.00%). Majority of the respondent’s fathers had undergraduate education (26.80%) and were engaged in farming (39.10%), while majority of the respondent’s mothers had high school education (28.50%) and were unemployed (50.00%). Majority of respondents came from low-income families (81.67%). Majority (45.83%) of the respondents had medium level of extra- curricular participation, medium (50.00%) level of achievement motivation, high (60.00%) level of awareness of job opportunities, high (67.50%) level of digital preparedness medium (45.00%) level of participation in advisory classes, medium (56.60%) level of career planning and had medium (45.84%) level of career prestige.
