Yoga therapy as an adjunct to individualised homoeopathic medicines in the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus

Abstract

Diabetic Mellitus (DM) is a major public health problem all over the world. The disease results in tremendous medical as well as economic burden globally. Various methods of treatment of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus are evolving rapidly because the existing interventions have not completely cured the disease. Individualised homoeopathic medicine is effective in the management of Type 2 DM. Various studies shows that Yoga therapy is effective in reducing the blood glucose levels in patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. This paper aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of various pranayama’s and Yogasanas as an adjunct to Individualised homoeopathic medicines in the management of Type 2 DM.
