Evaluating the impact of sustainability practices on mergers and acquisitions in corporate environments

Asian Journal of Management and Commerce · 2024 · Vol. 5(1) · pp. 752–757

Abstract

This research has targeted the demonstration of the profound impact of distinct sustainability practices on mergers and acquisitions, which is also well-known as M&A. Indeed, M&A has turned out to be an incrementally innovative and efficient economic opportunity for corporations operating in the international context. On the contrary, the need for highlighting environmental sustainability has gradually increased due to customer concerns, which has opened a new dimension for M&A corporations towards improving corporate performance and other related attributes. Hence, a secondary methodological approach is being adopted in this study to support a systematic review of empirical studies. The research findings have been presented crucially essential and critical insights relating to the research area, which corresponds with the results of the literature review selection. It is important to understand the interconnection between sustainability practices and M&A in international corporations, which supports the improvement of corporate performance along with strengthening economic capabilities. Green innovation and ESG interventions are among the key practices having an incredibly positive impact on M&A-listed companies that are operating in the international market.
