International Journal of Advanced Biochemistry Research · 2024 · Vol. 8(9S) · pp. 582–585

Abstract

The present study was investigated to evaluate the effect of selected botanicals on sheath blight of paddy (Oryza sativa L.) caused by Rhizoctonia solani (Kühn). Seven different treatments with three replications of paddy were planted in a randomized block design. At the research plot of the Central Research Field, Department of Plant Pathology, Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences, Prayagraj during Kharif season of 2023. The minimum percent disease intensity was recorded in T2 Pseudomonas fluorescens @ 1% (Seedlig dip) + clove extract @ 10% (Foliar Spray) (25.29) followed by T3- Pseudomonas fluorescens @ 1% (Seedling dip) + ginger rhizhome extract @ 10% (Foliar spray) (30.62). Maximum plant height (101.55 cm), number of tillers (29.93), panicle length (19.88 cm), yield (4.91 t/ha) were found in Pseudomonas fluorescens @ 1% (Seedling dip) + clove extract @ 10% (Foliar Spray) and cost benefit ratio (1:2.21) were found in Pseudomonas fluorescens @ 1% (Seedling dip) + ginger rhizhome extract @ 10% (Foliar spray) when compared to untreated check.
