International Journal of Advanced Biochemistry Research · 2024 · Vol. 8(9) · pp. 705–710

Abstract

The present study was undertaken in Lakhani and Sakoli tehsils of Bhandara district of Vidarbha region during 2023-24. Total 120 farmers were selected i.e. 60 is trichocard beneficiary and 60 non-beneficiary paddy farmers. The farmers were selected randomly and the primary data was collected from the selected farmers. The cost of production and cost returns were identified by using the standard cost concepts. The cost C for trichocard beneficiary paddy was found to be Rs. 69153.53 and for non-beneficiay paddy was found to be Rs. 70997.35. The input output ratio was also worked out and for trichocard beneficiary paddy it was 1.29 against cost C and for non-beneficiary paddy it was 1.14 against cost C. The constaints faced by the farmers in adoption of trichocard were studied through personal interview method and analyzed that the unavailability of trichocard at proper time for release was major problem, followed by lack of technical knowledge about trichocard application.
