Exploration of different therapeutic potential of oyster and button mushroom

Abstract

Diabetes and high blood pressure are common health issues affecting many people. Diabetes and hypertension represent widespread health concerns with significant global impacts. We look into how using these mushrooms might help control blood sugar, lower blood pressure, and even make the body work better with insulin. They could also reduce inflammation and make your body healthier. Mushrooms, specifically oyster (Pleurotus ostreatus) and button (Agaricus bisporus) varieties, have garnered attention for their potential roles in addressing the global health challenges of diabetes and hypertension. . In our review, we explore how two types of mushrooms, oyster and button mushrooms, might help with these problems. The discussion explores the potential mechanisms through which oyster and button mushrooms may exert antidiabetic and antihypertensive effects. This comprehensive review article synthesizes current scientific findings on the impact of oyster and button mushrooms in the context of diabetes and hypertension management. We investigate the mechanisms through which oyster and button mushrooms may contribute to antidiabetic and antihypertensive effects, including their impact on blood glucose, blood pressure, and lipid profiles.
