Participation of beneficiaries in different activities of national rural livelihood mission in Chhattisgarh plains
Abstract
This study was confined to Chhattisgarh plains. Out of the total district of Chhattisgarh plains only four district namely Rajnandgaon, Durg, Bemetara and Balod was purposively selected for this study. Under the participation index of the level of the participation of beneficiaries about financial activities of Nation Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) 100 percent of beneficiaries was participated in regular interval loan, regular repayment and interest subsidy followed by maintenance of account (45.93%), community investment fund (34.37%), revolving fund (33.75%), capital subsidy (32.50%) respectively. Under participation index of beneficiaries about different income generating activities majority (50.62%) of beneficiaries of NRLM was participated in vegetable production. Followed by poultry farming (45.93%), silai kadai (37.18%), papad making (35.31%), goat farming (34.68%), soap making (32.50%), flour mill (30.62%), ready to eat and mushroom production (24.37%), agarbatti making (22.81%), bricks making (13.75%), pickle making (10.62%) and chikki making (9.68%) respectively. In context of overall participation maximum number (70.62%) of beneficiaries was belong to medium level of participation category, followed by low level of participation category (17.50%) and high level of participation category (11.88%) respectively.
