A review of biodegradable lubricants 1. caracterization, current status, and future improvement trends
Journal of Research in Chemistry · 2024 · Vol. 5(2) · pp. 52–54
Abstract
In this review I have presented a brief history of biodegradable lubricants presented in a series of articles, works and patents. Biodegradable lubricants are used to improve the properties of mineral oils or vegetable oils. A wide range of polymers have been synthesized to improve the properties of oils. A series of researches are related to the production of biodegradable lubricating oils that also possess a food-type non-toxic character.
