A case of tinea cruris treated with homoeopathic approach: A case report
Abstract
Introduction: Tinea cruris also known as jock itch, is an infection involving the genital, perineal, and perianal skin caused by pathogenic fungi known as dermatophytes [2]. Homoeopathic system of medicine have excellent result on dermatological diseases which is neither expensive, nor has any side effects. It works by understanding the patient as a whole, through his mental and physical make-up, which along with the particular symptoms forms the totality on which the apt medicine is prescribed.Case summary: A female patient of 42 years of age presented with complaint of “Ringworm” over the groin region since two year. She was on allopathic treatment for a long time with episode of relapses. Homoeopathic medicine was given on the basis of totality of symptoms which restored the patient back to health. This case proves the efficacy of individualized constitutional homoeopathic treatment for the cure of Tinea Cruris.
