A case of verruca warts treated with homoeopathic approach: A case report

Abstract

Introduction: Warts are skin growths caused by infection with the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV). Warts can develop on different body parts and take on distinct forms. The disease must be eradicated as soon as possible because the affected individual may experience cosmetic disfigurement leading to embarrassment in public, thus forcing the individual to undergo expensive and drastic measures like cauterization and various oils and ointments. Homoeopathy, on the other hand is neither expensive, nor has any side effects. It works by understanding the patient as a whole, through his mental and physical make-up, which along with the particular symptoms forms the totality on which the apt medicine is prescribed. Case summary: This article shows a case of verruca vulgaris on both feet and back of palms in a 36 year old male, responded commendably with three doses of individualised medicine petroleum 30. Photographic evidences are provided wherever necessary.
