Nitrogen management in wheat through nano urea

Abstract

A field experiment was conducted during rabi season of 2023-24 Agronomy Farm, College of Agriculture, Nagpur, to study the nitrogen management in wheat through nano urea. In respect of growth attributes and yield, treatment (T1)100% RDN through conventional urea (two splits-50% at sowing – basal + 50% at 25-30 DAS – top dressing) at tillering stage recorded significantly higher number of tillers m-1 row, dry matter accumulation plant-1 and number of effective tillers m-1, seed yield tiller-1, seed yield m-1 of wheat followed by treatments T4 (i.e. 75% N nano urea-2 split + 25% RDN urea basal), T5 (75% N nano urea-3 split + 25% RDN urea basal), T6(50% N nano urea-2 split + 50% RDN urea basal) and T7(50% N nano urea-3 split + 50% RDN urea basal) and was found at par with 100% RDN through conventional urea (two splits-50% at sowing – basal + 50% at 25-30 DAS – top dressing) (T1).
