Influence of bio-fertilizer and bio-stimulants on growth and yield of onion (Allium cepa L) under middle Gujarat
Abstract
An investing on influence of bio-fertilizer and bio-stimulants on growth and yield of onion (Allium cepa L) under middle Gujarat influenced by bio-fertilize and bio-stimulants was conducted at Sheth D. M. polytechnic in Horticulture College, Anand Agricultural University, Model farm, Vadodara. The treatments under study were analyzed by randomized block design with factorial concept (FRBD). The treatments included three level for seedling treatment viz. (S1) Control, (S2) Bio- NPK consortia, (S3) Beejamrut and seven different bio stimulant treatment viz.(B1) Novel Organic Liquid Fertilizer 1.0%, (B2) Novel Organic Liquid Fertilizer 1.5%, (B3) Seaweed Extract 4%, (B4) Seaweed Extract 6%, (B5) Humic acid 0.2.%, (B6) Humic acid 0.4.%, (B7) Control. There was found significant effect of bio-fertilizer on growth, yield and quality parameters viz., Plant height, No. of leaves, average weight of bulb (g) and Yield of bulb (kg /plot). While non-significant effect observed on days Taken to maturity and TSS (0Brix). In Different bio-fertilizer treatment, application of Bio- NPK consortia (5ml/l) (S2) was found most effective treatment which recorded significantly maximum plant height (78.16 cm), number of leaves (9.21), average weight of bulb (132.16 g) and yield of bulb(20.61kg /plot). In case of bio-stimulants treatment was found significantly fertilizer on growth, yield and quality parameters viz., Plant height, No. of leaves, average weight of bulb (g) and Yield of bulb (kg /plot).In Different bio-stimulant treatment, application of novel organic liquid fertilizer 1.5% (B2) was found most effective treatment which recorded significantly maximum number of leaves (9.58), average weight of bulb (138.17 g) and yield of bulb (23.01 kg /plot). While non-significant effect observed on plant height days at 90 DAP, Taken to maturity and TSS (0Brix).
