Abstract

An experiment was conducted at Plant Pathology Section, College of Agriculture, Nagpur during 2023-2024. Seven days sporulated culture of Trichoderma harzianum mother culture was obtained from Department of Plant Pathology, College of Agriculture, Nagpur, Dr. PDKV, Akola and it was subjected to chemical mutagenesis with ethyl methyl sulphonate (EMS) and hydroxyl amine (HA) @ 150μl/ml and 200μl/ml and physical mutagenesis with ultraviolet (UV) rays @ 254 nm wavelength. The time durations for Chemicals mutagenesis treatments were 45 and 60 minutes and time for physical mutagenesis treatments was 3, 6 and 9 minutes. It was observed that the maximum mycelial growth inhibition of R. solani was exhibited by mutants ThMU-2 (T10) and ThME-3 (T7) i.e. 74.31 and 74.07 percent. It was observed that the maximum mycelial growth inhibition of Fusarium oxysporium f.sp. ciceri was exhibited by mutants ThMU-2 (T10) i.e. 73.88 percent. It was observed that the maximum mycelial growth inhibition of Rhizoctonia bataticola was exhibited by mutants ThMU-2 (T10) i.e. 67.79 percent. The highest mycelial growth inhibition of Sclerotium rolfsii by ThMH-4 (T4) and ThMH-2 (T2) i.e.75.92 and 72.59 per cent.
