Comparative efficacy of botanicals and bio-agents on shoot and fruit borer (Leucinodes orbonalis Guenee) of Brinjal (Solanum melongena L.)
Abstract
The present field investigation was carried out to check the Efficacy of Botanicals and Bio agents on Shoot and Fruit borer (Leucinodes orbonalis Guenee) on brinjal (Solanum melongena L.). The result of efficacy of treatments showed that, the Spinosad 45 SC (11.06% & 15.04%) found to be most effective followed by Imidacloprid 17.8 SL (11.63% & 16.53%) and Neem Oil 2% (12.48% & 18.60%). The treatment Karanj Oil 2% (14.76% & 19.79%) and Verticillium lecanii 1 x 108 CFU (15.64% & 22.01%) was found to be average. The Metarhizium anisopliae 1 x 108 CFU and Mahua Oil 2% found to be less effective in controlling the infestation with (16.86% & 22.93%) and (17.41% & 23.89%). The all treatments found to be effective in comparison to untreated plot with (26.41% & 27.72%).
