Response of FYM along with inorganic fertilizer on physico-chemical properties of soil in mustard

Abstract

TheresearchwasleadattheSoilScienceResearchFarm,SamHigginbottom University ofAgriculture,Technology and Sciences, Prayagraj, U.P. during theRabiseason in 2023-2024.The experimentwaslaid out in randomized block design with threelevelsof NPK FYMandSulphur(0,50and100%).The treatments werereplicated three timesandallocated randomofeachreplication.Theresult shows that maximum bulk density 1.272 Mg m-3 and 1.276 Mg m-3 at 0-15 cm and 15-30 cm,particle density 2.477 Mg m-3 and 2.482 Mg m-3 at 0-15 cm and 15-30 cm,% pore space 48.35% and 46.02% at 0-15 cm and 15-30 cm, water holding capacity 40.26% and 36.48% at 0-15 cm and 15-30 cm, pH 7.20 and 7.34 at 0-15 cm and 15-30 cm, EC 0.47 dSm- and 0.52 dSm-1 at 0-15 cm and 15-30 cm, organic carbon 0.55% and 0.50% at 0-15 cm and 15-30 cm, available nitrogen 275.58 kg ha-1 and 268.85 kg ha-1 at 0-15 cm and 15-30, available phosphorus 275.58 kg ha-1 and 268.85 kg ha-1 at 0-15 cm and 15-30 cm, available potassium 178.48 kg ha-1 and 172.80 kg ha-1 at 0-15 cm and 15-30 cm, available sulphur 22.30 ppm and 18.90 ppm at 0-15 cm and 15-30 cm in treatment T2 (NPK @ 100% + FYM @ 100% + Sulphur @ 100%). Application of NPK, Sulphur and FYM increased physical and chemical properties of soil and compared with in treatment T1 (Absolute control).
