Securing financial transactions on cloud platforms amidst COVID-19 cybersecurity challenges

Abstract

This paper examines the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on cybersecurity, specifically focusing on financial transactions conducted on cloud platforms. As remote work surged during the pandemic, so did cyber threats, highlighting vulnerabilities in safeguarding financial data. The study defines key technologies and concepts, discusses pandemic-induced cybersecurity challenges, explores encryption strategies for data protection, and introduces emerging technologies such as blockchain and AI for enhanced security measures. It concludes with recommendations for strengthening cybersecurity frameworks in the evolving landscape of cloud-based financial transactions.
