Government support in promoting women entrepreneurship in Arunachal Pradesh: An overview

Abstract

Entrepreneurs are vital for driving innovation, creating jobs, and stimulating economic growth, play a crucial role. Specifically, women entrepreneurs contribute significantly by fostering diversity, driving innovation, and promoting inclusive economic development. Nonetheless, women entrepreneurs of Arunachal Pradesh are also playing the same role in the state. Moreover, governments play vital role in promoting women entrepreneurship. They avail financial assistance, subsidy, input supply and training, marketing assistance, technical support, consultancy and infrastructural facilities to encourage and promote entrepreneurship in the state. In this context, this study aims to access the awareness about government schemes benefits availed, impact on business, various types of benefits availed and problems faced in availing government facilities etc. To achieve this goal, data was gathered from 340 women entrepreneurs residing in Papumpare District of Arunachal Pradesh.
