Enhancing soil management in cropping systems through agronomic, technological and agrostological interventions with case studies: A comprehensive review

Abstract

Sustainable agricultural practices require efficient soil management in cropping systems to maintain ecological balance and maximum productivity while preserving soil health. The review examines current developments and case studies to clarify the efficacy of agronomic, technological and Agrostological interventions in fostering soil health and sustainability. The agronomic interventions implemented for soil management in cropping system has improved nutrient cycle, erosion management and soil structure. Farmers can optimize soil conditions, improve crop productivity and promote long term sustainability in agriculture. In technological advancement opportunities like remote sensing, Geographic Information System exist to improve soil health, increase production and reduce environmental impact that are critical for soil management. The synergistic benefits of Agrostological practices in promoting soil biodiversity and improving system sustainability. The case studies highlight the good effects on soil fertility, biodiversity and environmental resilience.
