Antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties of Tigernut (Cyperus esculentus) extract
International Journal of Agriculture and Nutrition · 2023 · Vol. 5(2) · pp. 103–105
Abstract
This study investigates the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties of tigernut (Cyperus esculentus) extract. Through a series of in vitro and in vivo experiments, we examine the extract's capacity to scavenge free radicals and its effects on inflammatory markers. The findings suggest that tigernut extract could be a potent natural agent for managing oxidative stress and inflammation, providing a basis for its use in functional foods and therapeutic applications.
