Abstract
In the current script of food failure, utmost developing countries are facing the issue of food losses due to indecorous post-harvesting process, which accounts for about 50% of fruits and vegetables and 25% of food grains.Conventional dryers and cold warehouses are cost-ferocious, and the rise in reactionary energy prices has boosted the problem.Cold storehouse isn't accessible to growers in remote locales.Solar drying is one of the primitive styles to reduce post-harvest losses.The use of solar-grounded drying systems is cost-effective for food drying.Using a solar teetotaler with a heat storehouse system eliminates the intermittent nature of solar radiation.Solar teetotaler integrated with thermal storehouse accoutrements promotes a nonstop drying process at a steady temperature of 50 C for quality drying of food products.The thermal energy storehouse accoutrements used in the teetotaler system store the thermal energy during sun hours and discharge it during the off-sun hours for drying operations.This paper aims to present state-of-the-art of solar thermal energy storehouse technologies for artificial food processing operations.
