Abstract

The relationship between mental health and physical well-being is intricate and multifaceted, encompassing a dynamic interplay of biological, psychological, social, and environmental factors. This correlation has garnered increasing attention in both research and clinical practice, as understanding the complex interactions between mental and physical health is essential for promoting holistic well-being. This abstract aims to provide an overview of the existing literature on the correlation between mental health and physical well-being, highlighting key findings, mechanisms, and implications for healthcare delivery and public health interventions. Numerous studies have demonstrated a bidirectional relationship between mental health and physical well-being. On one hand, poor mental health, including conditions such as depression, anxiety, and stress, is associated with adverse physical health outcomes, including increased risk of cardiovascular disease, obesity, diabetes, and compromised immune function.
