The leadership style followed by coaches during sports competition from the standpoint of players participating in the Iraqi Handball Premier League for the 2022-2023 season

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to identifying the reality of the leadership methods used by coaches during sports competition from the standpoint of the players participating in the Iraqi Handball Premier League for the 2022-2023 season. The research methodology was determined by the researcher using the descriptive method using the survey. The research community was relied upon as a whole, with a percentage of (100%) of the players participating in the Premier League for the season (2022-2023), where the research community reached (229) players and distributed among (15) clubs. All of the research was taken as a sample for the researcher to work on, and then the researcher by dividing the current research sample of (229) into (3) samples (exploratory - stability - application). One of the most important results reached by the researcher is that: Handball coaches have the great ability to find appropriate solutions to confront the brilliance of their players in order to confront the goalkeeper and field players of the opposing team, and handball coaches have the ability to control himself by properly controlling the arousal of his feelings. One of the most important recommendations recommended by the researchers is that: The coach must have psychological control in order to control himself during the match properly, and it is necessary to study properly how to deal with time-out properly and give instructions in a better way.
